Energetic Neighborhood Oldenburg Fliegerhorst, WP Strategic Energy Planning

2019-2024
Funding Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung
A decarbonized heat supply in urban areas in the future poses a particular challenge. The technical focus on the system coupling of electricity and heat production to increase the share of renewable energies in the heat supply alone will not be sufficient to bring about a rapid transformation of the energy system.

In addition to technical flexibilities, socio-economic factors and governance structures are also required for transferability.

With the help of a spatio-functional analysis, transformation strategies are developed for different target levels:
1.) dovetailing of the project area with the surrounding area,
2.) transfer to new development areas and post-densification areas,
3.) transfer to existing buildings.
