IAPG Labs
The institute for Applied Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics runs different modern and well equipped labs. State-of-the-art hardware and software is available for all activities in application-based education, research and development of all working groups.
Lab for optical 3D metrology
The Lab for optical 3D metrology was established in 2010 and covers a working area of 147 m² for application-based education and research. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software, it e.g. encloses a special equipment for different high-speed-applications, an online tracking system, scanning systems as well as evaluation facilities for optical 3D metrology with respect to VDI/VDE 2634.
A control point field for the accuracy evaluation of laserscanning, photogrammetry and laser tracking devices for large-scale applications is established to the lab. Specific adaption targets allow for a joint application of all target types and includes measures of length and form.
Lab for photogrammetry
The Lab for photogrammetry specialises on the image-based 3D analysis, modeling and visualisation. Projects in the field of aerial photogrammetry, UAV-photogrammetry, Structure-from-Motion or cultural heritage are processed. Special 3D work stations allow for processing of data with high demands on hardware specifications. They are equipped with stereo-screens and 3D acquisition devices.
